CARTOON REVIEW : TAR COLLEGE (3)

This catoon and article were published in Public News on 5/11/1984  and 23/7/1986 respectively by using the different pseudonym in avoiding been recognised by the  college and I was one of the popular cartoonists who agrgressively published cartoons condenming  politicus at that time. It depicted how was the life of the student of TAR College  by renting a room in the housing estate nearby and how they was bullied by the landlord. That is why we felt so sad and disppointed when the board of the TAR University rejected the offer by the tycoon who proposed the donation to build hostel for the student, one of the reasons of rejection was to take care the benefit of the surroundong developer. Shouldn't be the benefits of the student is more important? Whoever is not in that position cann't even feel the pain!   

 Kartoon dan rencana ini diparparkan di Berita Awam pada 5/11/1984  dan 23/7/1986 masing-masing dengan mengguna nama samaran yang lain untuk menggelakkan dapat dicam oleh pihak kolej dan saya adalah salah seorang kartunis yang agresif memaparkan kartun-kartun menkritik politikus pada masa itu. Ia memaparkan bagaimana kehidupan seorang pelajar Kolej TAR menyewa bilik di kawasan perumahan berhampiran dan bagaimana mereka dibuli oleh pimilik rumah. Inilah sebabnya kami berasa begitu sedih dan putus asa apabila Lembaga TAR Universiti menolak tawaran oleh orang kaya yang bercadang menderma untuk membina asrama untuk pelajar, salah satu daripada sebabnya ialah untuk menjaga kepentingan pemaju-pemaju di persekitarannya. Bukankah kepentingan pelajar itu lebih penting? Sesiapa yang bukan dalam keadaan ini tidak dapat terasa pedihnya!
